ZETATECH Launches 8kWh All-in-One Residential Energy Storage Solution for Simpler, Smarter Backup Power
Release time : 2026.09.02

As more households adopt solar power and battery storage, residential energy systems are evolving toward simpler and more integrated designs. In 2025, the European Union installed a record 27.1 GWh of new battery energy storage capacity, a 45% year-on-year increase, bringing total operational battery storage capacity to 77.3 GWh. However, residential battery installations declined by 6% to 9.8 GWh, highlighting the need for residential storage solutions that can deliver clear value while reducing system complexity.

Responding to these evolving needs, ZETATECH has introduced its 8kWh All-in-One Residential Energy Storage Solution, designed to simplify residential energy storage by integrating key energy conversion and storage functions into a compact system.

One System, Fewer Components

Traditional home energy storage installations may require separate batteries, inverters and multiple electrical connections. This can increase installation complexity, wiring requirements and commissioning work.

The ZETATECH 8kWh All-in-One ESS integrates key energy storage and power conversion functions into one compact residential solution. It provides 8.04 kWh of battery capacity, 5 kW rated output and 10 kVA peak power, with Grade A 314 Ah LFP battery and 90% recommended depth of discharge (DoD). With a cycle life of up to 10,000 cycles, the system is designed to provide more usable stored energy and long-term cycling capability for daily home energy needs.

For homeowners, the integrated design means fewer separate devices, less wiring and more efficient use of available space. For installers and distributors, it provides a standardized residential solution that can simplify installation and commissioning while improving project delivery efficiency.

Designed for Four Everyday Energy Scenarios

The system is designed to work with different household energy sources and adapt to changing power conditions.

1. Solar → Home + Battery
When solar energy is available, the system powers your home first while storing excess solar energy in the battery for later use.

2. Battery → Home
After sunset or when solar generation is low, stored battery energy continues to power your home, helping make better use of previously generated solar power.

3. Grid → Home
When solar and battery power are unavailable or insufficient, the system uses grid power to supply household loads while charging the battery at the same time.

4. Generator → Home
When the grid is unavailable, generator power provides an additional backup source, helping keep essential household appliances and daily loads running.

This flexibility makes the system suitable for different homeowner needs—from increasing solar self-consumption to maintaining essential loads during power interruptions.

Making Residential Energy Storage Simpler

The ZETATECH 8kWh All-in-One ESS is designed around a straightforward principle: one system should handle more of the energy journey with fewer separate components.
