These internationally recognized certifications confirm that ZetaCube meets rigorous North American safety requirements at both the battery and system levels, further strengthening its readiness for the U.S. and Canadian markets.
UL 9540: System-Level Safety for Energy Storage
Among the two certifications, UL 9540 is one of the most important standards for battery energy storage systems (BESS) in North America. Unlike battery-level certifications, it evaluates the safety of the entire energy storage system, including the battery, BMS, electrical protection, thermal management, fire protection, enclosure, and system controls.
The certification verifies that ZetaCube can operate safely under both normal and fault conditions while ensuring reliable coordination between key system components. It is also supported by UL 9540A thermal runaway test results, providing an important reference for project approval by local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and helping simplify project deployment.
UL 1973: Proven Battery Reliability
ZetaCube has also achieved UL 1973, the North American safety standard for stationary battery systems. This certification validates the safety and reliability of the lithium-ion battery system through comprehensive testing of electrical protection, battery management, and operational safety, ensuring dependable performance in stationary energy storage applications.
