ZETATECH has successfully commissioned its commercial energy storage project in Anambra State, Nigeria recently. This 261kWh system is set to transform the operational landscape for local hospitality businesses by providing a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy alternative to diesel-dependent power.
Tackling the Energy Challenge
For many commercial facilities in Nigeria, the national grid remains unreliable, forcing businesses to depend heavily on diesel generators to maintain 24/7 operations. For this hospitality client, the reliance on diesel was becoming an unsustainable financial burden. With daily operations requiring 18 to 24 hours of power, fuel consumption soared to as much as 250 litres per day, driving daily energy costs beyond 360 dollars.

The ZETATECH Solution
To address this challenge, ZETATECH deployed a tailored solar and storage solution, designed to integrate seamlessly with the facility’s specific energy profile. The project features:
125kW PCS Capacity: Ensuring robust power conversion and system stability.
261kWh Battery Storage: Providing consistent power supply throughout the evening peak periods.
160 High-Efficiency 620W Solar Modules: Harvesting clean, renewable energy to maximize daily output.

The system is designed to support the facility’s peak electrical load of 87kW, powering everything from 47 guest rooms and central hot water systems to kitchen, dining, and fitness facilities.
Significant Impact and Operational Value
The integration of ZETATECH’s ESS solution has delivered immediate results. The facility now enjoys 24-hour electricity, significantly reducing its reliance on diesel generation. The project is expected to cut diesel and electricity costs by 80% to 90%, offering a long-term, scalable model for energy independence.
